Hursley Fete Thank you

Hursley Country Fete – Saturday 12th June 2010

Thank you to all of you who supported the fete this year  and thanks to all of you that took part in the Country Dancing (Class 1 and 2) and the Indian Dancing (Class 3) and the JK Crew.  I think everyone enjoyed the return of the Animalman and his array of animals and it was great to see the Premier Martial Arts Academy display.

Thank you to all the boys who brought along their “toys” and not forgetting the return of the Morris Men and the Tug of War, which, combined with the weather meant that there was a fabulous attendance.  Thanks also to ProVision (www.pvprojects.com) for their sponsorship and to Simon and Helen Broadribb of Uptons of Bassett who supplied lovely burgers and sausages at a much discounted rate and, not forgetting all of you that kindly donated bottles, chocolate, homemade cakes, plants, toys and bric a brac.

In addition, a massive thank you to all the Fete Committee who worked so hard to bring the event together but also to all the volunteers on the day without whose help this event would not have been such a success.  We think that we will have raised in the region of £6,200 which will be split 60:40 John Keble School:All Saints Church.  This money will help to purchase the extra equipment in the Wooden Play Area which was installed during the May half term.

Visit the hursleyvillage.info website to see lots of photos that capture the fun of the day!  Below are the winners of all the various activities – well done to you all!

Best wishes - Amanda Apps
