The Hursley Village Pump

" Help 4 Haiti"  

We are organising a large fundraising event just outside Winchester in Kings Somborne Village Hall on Tuesday 16th March from 9.30am - 12.00 for disaster relief in Haiti. We are aiming to attract 200 - 300 along to the event, which is being covered by the Somborne Gauntlet, Hampshire Chronicle and Romsey advertiser amongst others. Attractions include a sale of Fabulous Cakes, Cake decorating demonstrations, a Prize Board that guarantees a prize equal or more than the amount spent on each ticket (prizes include meals for two at local restaurants, family tickets for local attractions, jewellery, beauty treatments and products and much, much more...) and a nearly new / new jewellery sale.  Teas, coffees and soft drinks will be available with plenty of seating and an (unsupervised) children's corner with toys to play with. 100% of the monies raised at the event will be donated to the registered charity shelterbox.org - a huge charity responding to disasters around the globe including Haiti (and now of course Chile) by sending out pre-packed boxes of shelter, sanitation and life support items http://www.shelterbox.org/about.php?page=9 We will be displaying detailed information about the charity and its activities on the day.
